Inter faith events can take many forms. In the main this section publicises courses or lectures. We would welcome notice of arts, sports, commemorations and other types of inter faith gatherings.
Understanding Islam an introductory course for Christians
led by the Revd Dr David Marshall at St Stephen's House, Oxford
8 - 11 June 2008
This is a course for those who want to learn more about Islam and reflect on Islam as Christians. It aims to provide an understanding of Islam as Muslims understand it, and to address questions of Christian response to Islam and Christian co-existence with Muslims. No prior knowledge of Islam will be assumed. There will be input from Christian and Muslim speakers, and visits to Muslim institutions.

- the life of Muhammad
- the Qur'an
- Islamic belief and practice
- Islam and society
- recent developments in Islam
- Islam in Britain
- Christian-Muslim relations
