Guidelines for Spiritual and Pastoral Care of Patients and Relatives

 

This is a 35 page spiral bound A4 booklet produced by The North Kent Council for Inter Faith Relations as a resource for those working in or with institutions of health care. Covering ten different faith groups it gives guidance on the key factors that shape belief and practice as well as aspects of hygiene, food preparation and how each faith relates to the rites of passage such as birth, dying and death.

Informative and practical it may well have uses beyond its obvious clientele. Those wishing to produce something similar for their locality will find it an excellent starter to save 're-inventing the wheel'. It is possible to reproduce the material providing appropriate acknowledgement is given.
